Teeth Straightening

Teeth straightening is the process of aligning and repositioning teeth using orthodontic treatments like braces or clear aligners for improved aesthetics and function.

Braces

Braces are a common method to enhance the alignment of teeth by applying pressure to gradually reposition them. Typically made of metal, plastic, or ceramic, braces consist of brackets affixed to the front of teeth.

Ceramic brackets, being translucent, are the least conspicuous option, blending with natural tooth color. Lingual braces offer an even less noticeable alternative, as brackets are attached to the back of teeth. Following brace removal, wearing a retainer for a period is often necessary to maintain the teeth’s new position.

Clear Aligners

Invisalign, a newer but pricier alternative, employs a series of transparent plastic aligners to gently adjust teeth alignment. Similar to braces, Invisalign gradually shifts teeth into a straighter configuration. However, it may not be suitable for complex cases, so consulting your dentist is recommended to determine if this option is appropriate for you.

Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are thin ceramic shells custom-made to cover the front surface of teeth, creating a natural-looking, aesthetically pleasing smile. Before application, your dentist may need to slightly modify your teeth’s structure to accommodate the veneers. Additionally, veneers can improve tooth color, resulting in both straighter and whiter teeth.

Tooth Contouring & Reshaping

This swift and cost-effective procedure involves altering the shape and size of teeth for instant cosmetic enhancement. Through a process of enamel removal and replacement, your dentist can sculpt your teeth to achieve a desired appearance. This may entail using a drill or laser to remove enamel, reshaping teeth with abrasive strips, and concluding with a polishing treatment.
